CAIRO, April 24 (MENA) - The government denied Wednesday reports about plans to impose new taxes on investors in the coming period.

The Cabinet information center said in a statement that it contacted the Ministry of Finance which completely refuted the reports.

The ministry explained that the government is seeking to encourage investors to do business in Egypt through creating a suitable climate that would attract more investments and businesses.

All these reports are meant to incite investors and make them shun doing business in Egypt, said the ministry.

The ministry urged all mass media outlets to be accurate while publishing any economic reports.
