CAIRO - 17 April 2019: "The Egyptian Embassy in Kuwait prepared for the referendum on the constitutional amendments, awaiting the election commission to announce a date to receive voters," said Egyptian Ambassador in Kuwait Tareq el Qouniin a press conference on Wednesday.

The ambassador thanked the Egyptian community in Kuwait for their participation in previous polls, adding that the Egyptian community comes first in terms of voter turnout.

"More than 35,000 Egyptians in Kuwait had taken part in the re-election of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi in March 2018," Qouni said.

He urged Egyptians in Kuwait to vote in the upcoming referendum that should be held inside the embassy.

The ambassador also said that Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber al-Mubarak al-HamadAl-Sabah will visit Egypt in June to meet several Egyptian officials.
