CAIRO, April 12 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said Friday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has ordered all kinds of support to be provided for ensuring Egypt would host a successful AFCON 2019 edition.

Addressing the tournament draw ceremony, the premier added that Egypt enjoys enormous potential in all areas, and is capable of hosting all major tournaments and events.

Egypt was granted the tournament's hosting rights in January after planned host Cameroon was forced to stand down due to lack of preparation.

Twenty-four teams for the first time in the history of the competition will take part, and will be divided into six groups.

It will take place from June 21 to July 13, having been moved from January/February to avoid club-versus-country clashes.

The Pharaohs are seeking to win the prestigious title for the first time since 2010, the last of their record seven victories.
