WASHINGTON -8 April 2019: Three U.S. service members and a contractor were killed by an improvised explosive device on Monday near Bagram air base close to Kabul, the U.S. military said.

In a statement, the military said that in addition to those killed, three U.S. service members were wounded in the incident and were receiving medical care.
