CAIRO – 8 April 2019: Egypt’s Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli met Sunday with the Saudi minister of communication to discuss means of joint cooperation in the presence of Minister of Communication Amr Talat.

"The Saudi-Egyptian relations witnessed an unprecedented boom during the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi in the political, economic, and cultural fields," Saudi Ambassador to Cairo Osama Naqli said in 2018.

Naqli added in a statement published on the Saudi Embassy's official Facebook account that Sisi’s era witnessed a huge boost in cooperation between Egypt and KSA, a boost expected to include more regional topics in the future.

According to several Saudi writers, the kingdom supported Egypt after the January 2011 Revolution and supported the Egyptian government and people to face the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group on June 30.
