CAIRO/MARRAKESH April 6 (MENA) - Egypt's Planning Minister Hala el Saaed discussed with Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group President Bandar al Hajjar means of boosting cooperation.

The talks were held on the fringe of her participation in the 44th annual meeting of IsDB board of governors in Morocco, taking place on April 5-6 in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh.

Minister Saaed stressed Egypt's interest in backing the effective role of IsDB in supporting the country's economic and social development.

Saeed referred to a deal signed on the establishment of a bureau representing the bank in Cairo, according to a statement issued on Saturday.

She also pointed out to an agreement signed by the two sides on 2019-2021 strategic cooperation.

The minister highlighted the potential cooperation opportunities between her ministry and the bank, in light of the varied technical assistance offered by the bank.

The achievement of sustainable development within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030 tops the domains of mutual concern as a promising aspect of cooperation with the bank.
