CAIRO - 5 April 2019: Egypt has voiced deep concern over the recent clashes erupted in some Libyan areas, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Thursday.

Egypt has urged all warning parties to practice self-restraint and stop escalation in the Arab country.

The statement asserted Egypt’s firm stance on backing the UN efforts and commitment to the political solution as the only option to protect the integrity and unity of the Libyan territory and maintain protection of people in the war-ravaged country.

Cairo also urged to continue anti-terrorism fighting to eradicate terrorism in all Libyan areas.
