Egyptian student granted Italian citizenship after rescuing 51 students from death

CAIRO – 23 March 2019: An Egyptian student named Ramy Shehata, 13, has succeeded in rescuing 51 Italian student kidnapped in Italy by Senegalese driver who threatened to shoot the students or set fire to the bus.

Once the driver kidnapped the bus he took the students' phones; Ramy secretly contacted his father and asked him to inform the police. The police forces hurried to the scene and arrested the kidnapper at once.

The police statement reported that there is no causalities at all among students whose age ranges from 11 to 13 year.

Italian police thanked Ramy for his courage and the Italian Minister for Interior decided to grant him the Italian nationality.
