CAIRO – 18 March 2018: “Youth come on top of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi's priorities in the Arab African Youth Forum's agenda,” presidential spokesman Bassam Radi announced on Monday in his interview with Channel 1.

Radi added that the president hopes to transfer Egypt’s experience with youth, development and the fight against terrorism to the African continent.

He also said that the meetings held in Egypt during the past years received strong interaction and participation from youth from all over the world, pointing out that the Forum of Arab and African Youth witnessed bright and brilliant models.

Sisi stressed that the restoration of peace and security is an essential element for achieving development in the African continent, asserting that one of the most important calls of the forum held in Aswan is the establishment of mutual funds to finance specific projects in Africa.

The Arab African Youth Forum is held in Aswan on March 16-18 under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

The forum comes in light of the recommendations of the second edition of the World Youth Forum (WYF), which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh in November 2018. At the closing ceremony of the WYF, President Sisi named Aswan the capital of African Youths in 2019.
