CAIRO, March 4 (MENA) - The Arab League (AL) called on the international community to take action to prod Israel into halting its gross violations in Al Aqsa Mosque.

In statements on Monday, Arab League Assistant Secretary General Said Abu Ali, the head of the AL department for occupied Palestinian territories and Arab lands, vehemently condemned the Israeli violations against Al Asqa Mosque.

He warned of the repercussion of this dangerous escalation that could simmer the region.

He said this escalation could destabilize the region and drag it into a catastrophic religious war.

He lauded Jerusalemites for remaining steadfast in the face of Israel.
