CAIRO, Feb 20 (MENA) - Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Walli and Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat launched late on Tuesday Wazifa Tech initiative under the theme of "Learn Now and Pay Tomorrow".

The initiative aims at increasing the number of cadres qualified for the labor market in the communications and information technology domains.

Under the initiative, the trainee will undergo a three-month training program to be qualified for the labor market after which he/she will get a job with a good salary.

Training program fees will be financed by Nasser Social Bank through soft loans granted to the trainees.

Trainees will re-pay the loans after they get their new job. This will be in three-year batches.

Wali said the initiative is financed by 100 million pounds.

She added that 167 young people were chosen under the initiative, including 91 from Cairo, 14 from Alexandria and 15 from Upper Egyptian governorates.

She said the initiative is a good experiment meant to fill the gap between actual needs of the labor market and skills of job seekers.
