CAIRO - 16 February 2019: Egypt Today acquired from Executive Manager of the National Committee for Control of Viral Hepatitis (NCCVH) the results of the first and second phases of the nationwide “100 Million Healthy Lives” launched by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

The campaign aims at screening citizens above the age of 18 to determine the prevalence of Hepatitis C, obesity, and chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension.

Until present, 30 million have been screened over two phases. The first phase took place in October and November 2018 in nine governorates screening 13 million citizens. The second phase was held starting from December until February in 11 governorates screening 17 million citizens. The third phase will kick off on March 1 to end in April.
