Third African judicial conference kicks off in Cairo

CAIRO, Feb 16 (MENA) - The third meeting of chief justices of African constitutional and supreme courts kicked off Saturday at the headquarters of Egypt’s Supreme Constitutional Court in Cairo.

The three-day conference is attended by delegations from 45 African countries representing their constitutional and supreme courts.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli took part in the opening of the event, along with Minister of Justice Mohamed Hossam Abdel Rahim, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Omar Marwan in addition to several African ambassadors and Egyptian MPs.

Held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the event aims to foster cooperation among African states and their judicial authorities.
