Assar to head to Abu Dhabi Sunday to attend IDEX 2019

CAIRO: 15 February 2019: Minister of Military Production Mohamed Saeed el Assar will head on Saturday for the UAE to attend the 2019 IDEX International Defense Exhibition in Abu Dhabi which is set to be held on February 17-21.

The Military Production Ministry will display at the Egyptian pavilion its products and defense equipment that are manufactured by its affiliate companies.

The Egyptian armored vehicles St100 and St 500 will be presented for the first time at an international military exhibition abroad.

This is the second time for the Military Production Ministry to take part in IDEX as it previously participated in its 2017 edition.

The military production minister is scheduled to meet with a number of military commanders from all over the world as well as heads of the companies participating in the exhibition.

The ministry's participation in IDEX 2019 will offer an opportunity for opening up to the world through presenting its technological and technical capabilities and enable it to get acquainted with the latest technologies in the armament and defense fields.

The ministry will also have a key opportunity
to invite the participating countries to take part in the second edition of EDEX 2020 in Egypt, after the success of its first edition in 2018.
