Sultan Al-Qasimi acknowledges Egypt role in enriching culture

CAIRO – 4 February 2019: Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, the sovereign ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah showed his tendency to support Kasr El Aini hospital’s developing project, contribute in the building of international University in Sheikh Zayed neighborhood and upgrade Faculty of Agriculture’s laboratories at Cairo University.

“I consider myself one of the Egyptians; because I belonged to this university that enriched me with the right academic thinking and culture that highly affected me and reflected by the way on my country,” the sovereign ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, stated.

“Thanks God to safe and secure Egypt, in a time the surrounded countries are falling apart. Thank God on the great achievements and prosperity of Egypt; it is still the beginning and one day Egypt will be on the top of the Arab and African countries,” Al-Qasimi reported.

The Emirati ruler visited Cairo University, where he was once a student there and expressed his gratitude and thankfulness to Egypt and its people; in the presence of deans and representatives of Cairo University, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Mohamed Othman El Klhosht, Cairo University President.

“I got high score at the high school and I had the chance to attend Faculty of Medicine or Engineering but I preferred to join Faculty of Agriculture. Egypt granted me the place of another Egyptian student; now it is my turn to pay the favor back,” said Al-Qasimi.

Adding, “I and my close friends used to play football and attend concerts and plays. It is an honor to belong to this great country and to be here today sitting at the Professor Ahmed Lotify’s lecture room; it is such a grace in which I used to attend Abdel Nassar’s speeches there.”

“Thanks to all the Egyptian professors who enrich our minds and brains with knowledge, culture and innovation,” the sovereign ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, elaborated.

“I am thankful for your warm welcome and great greetings; I cannot express my happiness to return back to Egypt; specifically Faculty of Agriculture at Cairo University. I will always remember all these emotional marvelous moments” Al-Qasimi said.
“Al-Qasimi is a distinctive Arab ruler who is known for his big passion for knowledge and scientific research, yet; he sponsors art and culture. He acknowledges Egypt’s role in enriching generations after generations over eras.” Abdel Ghaffar demonstrated.

“You did not take the place of another Egyptian student; because Egypt welcomes all Arabs, it is the second home for all the Arab peoples. This man who is awarded with numerous prizes, certificates and awards; today he is nominated by the most precious award in the whole world: the love of 100 million Egyptian people.” The Egyptian minister replied.

Adding, “This man loves Egypt to the moon and back; he always gives a hand to us in all disasters.”

In similar vein, 17 percent of the new international university located in 6 October city has been done since putting the first step last April. It is decided that the name of the first department will be given after Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi.

“We will also give the name of Biotechnology’s laboratories in the new international university after Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi; because the curriculum of the Faculty of Biotechnology is so close to Faculty of Agriculture’s curriculum (his faculty),” El Klhosht said.

“We start working on the new National Cancer Institute under the patronage of Sultan Al-Qasimi; assuring that there is no desire to minimize number of students at Cairo University,” El Klhosht said.

It is worthy to mention that Cairo University President awarded the outstanding character of 2018 to Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, the sovereign ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah; honoring his great loyalty.
