CAIRO, Feb 2 (MENA) - Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit discussed with visiting UN Envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame means of settling the Libyan crisis in a way that guarantees drafting a constitution and holding elections as aspired by the country's people.

The two sides agreed on continuing efforts meant to build confidence between the Libyan parties and encourage them to overcome their disputes until they reach agreement on implementing the general framework of Sukhairat deal to ensure the integrity of the country's territories, AL chief Spokesman Mahmoud Afifi said on Saturday.

Abul Gheit reiterated the AL's support to the UN action plan for Libya and the political path sponsored by the envoy, Afifi added.

Abul Gheit as well stressed the importance of reaching a final solution regarding the armed militias endangering the sovereignty of the Libyan State.
