Azhar Grand Imam receives French president, his wife

CAIRO, Jan 29 (MENA) - Grand Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed el Tayyeb received on Tuesday French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife and their accompanying delegation after they visited the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo's Abbassiya district.

Macron and his entourage were welcomed upon their arrival at Al Azhar Sheikdom by Tayyeb and a high-profile delegation of top Al Azhar scholars.
