CAIRO, Jan 29 (MENA) - French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife on Tuesday laid a wreath at the memorial of Botroseya Church martyrs.

Earlier in the day, Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese received the French president and his wife at St Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo's Abbassiya district.

On December 11, 2016, a suicide bomber killed 29 people and injured 47 others at St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, commonly known as El Botroseya Church, located on the grounds of Saint Mark's Cathedral.
