CAIRO - 27 January 2019: French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Cairo on Sunday coming from Aswan, where he toured Abu Simbel Temple.

Macron is scheduled to hold talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on ways of boosting bilateral ties. The talks will also focus on the latest regional developments, especially in Libya and Syria, as well as means of reinforcing cooperation in fighting terrorism, along with other files of mutual interest.

The Elysée posted a video on its Twitter account for Macron's visit to the archaeological temple of Abu Simbel, where he was briefed on the temple's history. He was accompanied by Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anany.
