BEIRUT, Jan 19 (MENA) - Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil said on Saturday that Egypt plays a great role in the Arab region, describing as good Beirut-Cairo relations.
Lebanon always wants Egypt to have a leading role in the Arab nation, Bassil told reporters who are set to cover the fourth Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, slated for Sunday.
The minister stressed that tomorrow’s summit will be held as scheduled and its resolutions will be issued whatever the level of heads of state’s participation is.
Bassil also called on the Arab states to share the burden of hosting the Syrian refugees.
