CAIRO – 19 December 2018: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli issued a decree to reshape the board of directors of the General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone headed by Mohab Mamish.

The members of the board include Sahar Nasr, minister of investment and international cooperation; Amr Nassar, minister of trade and industry; Adel al-Ghadban, Port Said governor and others. The decree stipulates that the membership of the Board of Directors should last for three years from the date of this decree's issuance.

According to the decision, the minister of planning, the minister of transport and a representative of the Suez Canal Authority will be invited to attend the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Suez Canal Economic Zone regularly.

Mamish said in September that the Suez Canal Economic Zone's revenues from settling disputes with investors hit LE 3.4 billion. In a released statement, he added that the figure represents 99.8 percent of the total disputes with investors.

The economic zone is currently adopting a flexible and positive policy, he said, adding that this has led to settling several problems that were facing investors.
