KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4 (MENA) - The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said that Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry's current visit to Kuwait is an opportunity to exchange viewpoints on the latest developments in the region.

In a statement on Tuesday ahead of the convocation of the 12th session of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Committee, the Kuwaiti ministry also stressed the necessity of finding peaceful and political solutions to the current crises in the region.

The committee will review means of strengthening cooperation between the two sides, the statement said.

On Monday, Shoukry arrived in Kuwait on a two-day visit to lead Egypt's delegation to the 12th session of the joint committee.

He is expected to attend the signing of a number of cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding .

Egypt's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said the convocation of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Committee comes as part of the two sides' keenness on developing bilateral relations in the various fields to elevate to the level of the sisterly ties binding the two countries.
