Assar signs MoU on energy cooperation with Slovenian ambassador

CAIRO – 20 November 2018: Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production, Mohammed Saeed al-Assar, received Tuesday, Nov. 20 Slovenian Ambassador to Cairo Tiana Miskova to sign a memorandum of understanding between the National Military Production Agency and the Slovak company Escra.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, Assar said the MoU will help Egypt benefit from the Slovenian experience in the energy and new industrial fields.

For her side, the Slovenian ambassador emphasized the importance of cooperating with Egyptian military production companies because of the quality of their products, and their technological and industrial capabilities.

Miskova further asserted her trust in the success of the two parties to implement national development projects that serve both sides in many fields, including the energy field.

Assar also called on the Slovenian defense companies to participate in the first international exhibition of defense and military industries, "Idex 2018", organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Defense under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and held at the Egyptian International Exhibition Center from December 3-5, 2018.

He explained that the exhibition represents an important opportunity to learn about the potential of Egyptian defense industries on the ground and to establish new partnerships with the participating countries.
