SHARM EL SHEIKH - 15 November 2018: Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad discussed on Thursday with her Japanese counterpart Minoru Kiuchi means of promoting joint cooperation and unifying visions in the field of environment work.

The meeting took up ways to enhance cooperation ties in the domains of biological diversity protection and managing natural reserves in cooperation with local communities.

They reviewed the Satoyama Initiative on biological diversity protection and the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 besides means of benefiting from environmental system in encountering natural crises.

Egypt hosts the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP 14) from November 17-29 in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh.
