MINSK - 15 November 2018: Egypt and Belarus signed here on Thursday a cooperation agreement to develop parliamentary relations.

The agreement was signed by Egypt's House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel Aal and speakers of Belarus's two houses of parliament.

Before the signing, Abdel Aal held a meeting with Speaker of Belarus House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko and Speaker of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich.

Abdel Aal lauded the distinguished relations binding Egypt and Belarus that were highly promoted following the latest visit by Belarus president to Egypt.

He expressed Egypt's desire to further enhance relations with Belarus.

He said the visit is not his first to Belarus but the first by an Egyptian parliamentary delegation to the country.
