BEIRUT - 15 November 2018: An Annual Arab Banking Conference kicked off in the Lebanese capital Beirut under the rubric "'Public Private Partnership for achieving SDGs'.

The event is organized by the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) under the sponsorship of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al Hariri.

Egyptian Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform Hala el Saed participates in the conference besides a number of presidents of big banks.

The event witnesses also the participation of a raft of Lebanese businessmen, representatives of Lebanese and Arab banks in the presence of Governor of Banque du Liban Riad Salamé and a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
