CAIRO – 29 May 2017: A 13-year old boy died Monday of severe injury after he was mistakenly shot in the head during a wedding last week.

The child remained hospitalized for several days and was kept in the intensive care; his health reportedly deteriorated.

The Giza police forces arrested Saturday a student suspected of mistakenly shooting the kid in the head, at Hosary square in 6 October city.

The suspect is believed to have fired his gun during his friend’s wedding, where he mistakenly shot Youssef, 13 years old, and another girl, Doaa, 22 years old, who happened to be in the shooting area by coincidence.

The shooting of the two persons was a mystery for talk shows and social media users.
Shooting bullets in the air is an old Egyptian celebratory tradition in weddings and happy occasions.
