Shoukry calls his Iraqi counterpart

CAIRO – 9 Nov 2018: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Friday made a telephone call with his Iraqi counterpart Mohamen al-Hakim to congratulate him over his new post.

Shoukry confirmed keenness on cooperating between both sides regarding all issues of common concern, said Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez.

Shoukry also expressed condolences over a terrorist attack that took place in the Iraqi city Mosul on Thursday and left several people dead and wounded, the spokesman noted.

The Egyptian top diplomat underscored supporting Iraq in its efforts for fighting terrorism, added the spokesman.
