Political leadership in support of blood plasma project: minister

CAIRO - 7 November 2018: Health Minister Hala Zayed reiterated on Wednesday the political leadership's support of the project of manufacturing the blood plasma derivatives locally.

There are 28 regional centers for blood services nationwide and efforts are underway to set up blood plasma centers, the minister said in press statements during a tour of the National Blood Center in Abbassiya.

She added that all Health Ministry-affiliated blood transfusion centers are internationally accredited.

She said all blood centers across the nation are electronically linked to the regional center to know exact blood stockpiles.
