Youth min: Egypt, China to sign cooperation protocol in youth field early 2019

SHARM EL SHEIKH - 4 November 2018: Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi said a youth cooperation protocol will be signed between Egypt and China early 2019.

In statements to Xinhua on the fringe of his participation in the second edition of the World Youth Forum (WYF) on Sunday, Sobhi said Egypt is seeking to draw on China's expertise in preparing for the Olympic Games.

He said China has many useful youth programs of interest to the Egyptian side, noting that such programs include poverty combat, development of business projects, honing youth skills and business leadership.

The minister also underlined the importance of political relations binding Egypt and China at the highest levels.

The minister met late Saturday with a Chinese youth delegation who are participating at the WYF and discussed with them means of activating cooperation between the two sides in the various fields of interest to youths.
