The African workshop, entitled "Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want”, is attended by hundreds of young people from about 20 different countries - Egypt Today

CAIRO - 1 November 2018: While preparations for the World Youth Forum, which is due to kick off on November 3, are underway, a workshop was launched Thursday, Nov. 1, dubbed "Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want."

The workshop is set to continue until November 3.

The workshop was attended by a number of youth from different African countries; the youth expressed their aspirations regarding the continent and the WYF page on Facebook displayed a number of their opinions.



A Nigerian participant expressed his wish to highlight the importance of strengthening the role of institutions fighting corruption, while an Egyptian participant expressed his aspiration to establish a "unified African industrial scheme with the slogan: Made in Africa."

Meanwhile, a Cameroonian participant expressed his wish to develop the human resources in Africa and achieve industrial and economic development.

A Ugandan participant highlighted the need to create employment opportunities for all African youth. Another Nigerian participant expressed his dream of providing equal health care for all, while a Malawian participant called for raising awareness about reproductive health.


World Youth Forum

The 2018 World Youth Forum will be held in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh for the second year in a row on Nov. 3-6 with the participation of 5,000 youths from all across the globe.
The second edition of the World Youth Forum will send a message of peace, prosperity and progress to the entire world. This forum helps youth to exchange their views and recommend initiatives to decision makers and influential figures.
