Madbouli participates in signing peace agreement in Sudan

CAIRO – 31 October 2018: Prime Minister and Minister of Housing and development Mostafa Madbouli headed to Sudan Wednesday, Oct. 31 to participate in the signing of thepeace agreement on behalf of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

Vice President of South Sudan Tabban Deng as well as several Sudanese ministers and senior officials received the prime minister at Juba Airport.

During their meeting at the official reception hall, Deng expressed South Sudan’s appreciation for Madbouli and the high-level Egyptian delegation's participation in this ceremony.

For his side, Madbouli pointed to the Egyptian government’s eagernessto participate inthis importantceremonyin light of Egypt’s keennessto support South Sudan in all fields.

He also stressed that in the coming period Egypt will provide all forms of support to Sudanese government to achievepermanent stability and development in South Sudan.

Madbouli will deliver a speech during his participation in the ceremony; he will also meet with a number of officials, including President of the Republic of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit, to review ways of boosting bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
