CAIRO - 29 October 2018: Egypt on Monday expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in an Indonesian Lion Air plane crash earlier today.

The plane crashed into the sea shortly after take off from Jakarta with 189 passengers on board.

The Foreign Ministry, in a released statement, said Egypt, its government and people, stand by the government and people of Indonesia at this difficult time and extends its heartfelt condolences to the grieving families.
