CAIRO - 23 October 2018: Hungarian Ambassador in Cairo Peter Kveck said that the 2015 summit between President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Budapest gave a boost to bilateral ties.

Speaking on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, the diplomat said that Egyptian-Hungarian cooperation reached an unprecedented level, particularly after the signing of a trilateral deal, involving Russia, Hungary and Egypt to supply 1,300 wagons to Egypt.

For the third year in a row, the Hungarian government granted 100 scholarships to Egyptians in 2018 to earn their masters and PhD degrees, said ambassador Kveck.

There is a distinguished partnership between Hungary's Huez city and South Sinai, he said.

He added that the tourism flows between the two countries increased.
