CAIRO - 22 October 2018: Minister of Military Production Mohamed el Assar met Monday with Brazilian Ambassador in Cairo Ruy Pacheco de Azevedo Amaral to discuss means of boosting bilateral cooperation in defense industries.

The meeting took up preparations for a visit by a Brazilian delegation to be led by Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes Ferreira Filho in November.

Assar reviewed technological and technical potentials of military production companies and welcomed the exchange of expertise between the two countries.

The talks also focused on the possibility of establishing joint companies to manufacture high-quality products at suitable prices and export them to neighboring states, Assar said.

The minister invited Brazilian companies to invest in Egypt and make use of the favorable business environment in the Arab country.

He touched upon a new investment law and national and infrastructure projects that all serve investors, particularly in the fields of roads, energy and transport.

Brazil can very well benefit from trade agreements to which Egypt is signatory, Assar said, noting this should facilitate marketing of products on local, regional and international markets.
