Health minister follows up hepatitis C check initiative

CAIRO - 21 October 2018: Health Minister Hala Zayed inspected on Sunday facilities in Assuit, where medial checks are conducted under a national initiative for detection hepatitis C and chronic diseases.

The Assuit visit is part of a national trip by Zayed to follow up the program's implementation, said her ministry's spokesman Khaled Megahed.

Among the inspected facilities are hospitals in cities and medical units in villages, added Megahed.

Earlier, the minister visited South Sinai, Alexandria and Port Said.
