CAIRO – 18 October 2018: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi returned home late on Wednesday following a three-day official visit to Russia.

During his stay in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi, President Sisi held talks with his Russian counterpart Valdimir Putin on several regional issues and signed a comprehensive partnership agreement between the two countries.

The two leaders told a joint press conference held at the end of their talks that they shared identical views on regional files, asserting the importance of reaching peaceful solutions to the current crises sweeping across the Arab region and the Middle East.

They also voiced their determination to boost bilateral cooperation in the economic, industrial, investment, educational and cultural fields with the aim of elevating bilateral relations to new heights.

During his visit president Sisi met with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and discussed with him ways of boosting bilateral economic ties.

He addressed Russia’s Federation Council ( the upper house of parliament) reviewing Egypt's efforts to fight terrorism and bring an end to regional crises and shed light on the numerous investment opportunities in Egypt especially in the Suez Canal area.
