ISTANBUL – 15 October 2018: Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and King Salman of Saudi Arabia spoke by telephone on Sunday evening and discussed the investigation into the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Turkish presidential sources said.

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud stressed the strength of the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Turkey, the Saudi press agency said late on Sunday.


They said the leaders stressed the importance of their two countries creating a joint working group as part of the investigation.


The king thanked the Erdogan for welcoming the Saudi proposal to form a joint working group to discuss the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, and said no one could undermine their relationship.
