CAIRO – 13 October 2018: A total of nine fishermen were rescued after an engine failure occurred to their boat in the Red Sea, said Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rescue and Environmental Protection Society Hassan el-Tayyib.

The society received a distress signal from a fishing boat called “Lolo’a” carrying nine fishermen after a technical failure while sailing in Zaafrana area in northern Red Sea.

Upon the signal, the society sent a rescue team to drag the boat out of the water toward the shore. The fishermen were reported safe after the rescue operation.
