CAIRO - 9 October 2018: Ten terrorists were killed in a fire exchange with security forces North Sinai’s Arish city. They possessed three explosive devices, three machine guns, and three rubber bullets guns, Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday.

The National Security Department at the ministry was informed that ten terrorists took refuge in an abandoned farm in Arish to prepare for attacks. Security forces stormed into the place where a fire exchange occurred resulting in the death of all terrorists.

On Monday, the Egyptian Air Forces targeted seven hideouts of terrorist groups in North Sinai killing 26 'takfiris' (religious extremist terrorists). Two four-wheel cars were destroyed while 26 cars and 52 motorcycles were seized by the forces.

The operation foiled a terrorist plot to target a number of military checkpoints in North Sinai, according to the 28th statement issued by the General Command of the Egyptian Armed Forces on the "Comprehensive Military Operation Sinai 2018."

The operation was initiated in February following a terror attack that targeted a mosque in North Sinai during Friday prayers in December killing more than 300 civilians.
