CAIRO - 5 October 2018: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry reviewed during a meeting on Friday with President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Shinichi Kitaoka means of developing joint cooperation projects.

Shoukry asserted Egypt’s appreciation of JICA’s efforts in supporting development projects in Egypt, particularly with regard to the establishment of the Grand Egyptian Museum and Cairo’s fourth Metro line, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez said in a statement Friday.

The foreign minister also highlighted JICA’s contribution to the launch of the Egypt-Japan Education Partnership (EJEP) in March 2016.

Meanwhile, the JICA president stressed Tokyo’s appreciation of its ties with Cairo, noting that JICA is keen to proceed with supporting mega projects in Egypt.
