CAIRO - 27 September 2018: Egypt and Uganda have agreed on a project to build five rainwater harvesting reservoirs in different parts of the African country, the Water Resources and Irrigation Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

The announcement came at the end of meetings of the joint Egyptian-Ugandan technical committees on technical cooperation projects in Kampala, the statement added.

During the two-day meetings, the Egyptian-Ugandan committee discussed ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in such technical projects, as well as means to remove any obstacles to carrying these projects, the statement read.

Also, the two sides agreed on the necessary measures to begin the second phase of the flood risk management project in Kasese town, the statement noted.
