GENEVA -26 Sept 2018: Egyptian envoy to the Geneva-based United Nations headquarters Ambassador Alaa Youssef on Wednesday said that a report by Human Rights Council experts team on human rights violations in Yemen is inaccurate and full of falsities.

Addressing the Council, Youssef noted that another report by the high commission is also full of flaws atop of which comes failure to accuse violations committed by the Houthi militants. Also, the report selectively held the coalition forces and the Yemeni legitimate authorities responsible for these violations, he added.

The experts report also did not take up the consequences of terrorist operations in Yemen which affected enjoying human rights there, he added.

The report in its current inaccurate form will contribute to complicating the situation in Yemen at the level of international efforts for reaching a peaceful settlement to the Yemeni crisis, he added.
