CAIRO – 26 May 2017: The Cabinet approved new amendments to the Law of Antiquities Protection on Wednesday, as per all military museums will come under the management of the Administration of Military Museums rather than the Ministry of Antiquities.

The new amendments stipulate that the administration, which affiliates to the Ministry of Defense, will be responsible for supervising, managing, and securing the military museums nationwide.

The armed forces have four military museums, namely the National Military Museum, 6th of October Panorama, El Alamein Military Museum, and Port Said Military Museum.

On national occasions, the Army opened the military museums and its art destinations for the public for free.
