CAIRO – 25 May 2017: Belbeis Court sentenced six brotherhood members to 25 years in prison for inciting violence on Thursday.

The court also sentenced two other Muslim Brotherhood members to 15 years in prison, and another five to three years imprisonment.

The defendants are charged with destroying a number of shops and setting fire to cars as well as possession of publications inciting violence, riots, and demonstrations in addition to organizing anti-state activity against the army and police.

The vicinity of the Belbeis court complex witnessed a security alert during the trial.
