CAIRO – 26 August 2018: Egypt’s Ministry of Immigration launched Sunday a program for a delegation of the Egyptian expats in Ukraine.

The program included an educational session on the Egyptian national security at the Nasser Military Academy as well as several visits to Suez Canal to learn about the internal situation in Egypt and the challenges Egypt faces in the current period.

For her side, Minister of Immigration and Expatriates’ Affairs Nabila Makram met the delegation to discuss the situation of the Egyptian community in Ukraine and solve their problems.

Makram welcomed the delegation and stressed the important role the Egyptian community abroad plays; she called on the delegation to address the rumors and misguided ideas aiming to destroy the country.

In July, Makram witnessed the launching of the Egyptian expatriate's forum held at the premises of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The forum included six workshops launching a dialogue between expats and officials of various ministries and governmental bodies.
