JAKARTA - 18 August 2018: Egyptian Ambassador to Indonesia Amr Maawad asserted on Saturday Egypt’s keenness on fostering the ties with Indonesia at all levels.

This came during his participation in a celebration held at the Indonesian presidential palace on the occasion of the Indonesian Independence Day.

The official Facebook page of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted the celebration's photos, asserting the deep relations between the two countries.



The ambassador was invited to the celebration by Indonesian President Joko Widodo. A number of Indonesian officials and foreign diplomats also attended the celebration.

During the celebration, the ambassador conveyed the Egyptian government and people’s greeting to the Indonesian president on the occasion of Indonesia’s national day. He also wished Indonesia more prosperity and development.
