CAIRO - 3 August 2018: Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Mohammed Abdel Aati stressed on Friday that Egypt will continue sharing its expertise to support the people of South Sudan in achieving sustainable development in the water resources field.

This falls within the framework of Egypt's keenness on boosting cooperation with Nile Basin countries, including South Sudan.

Projects undertaken by Egypt in South Sudan accommodate the requirements of the current phase and come in line with a memorandum of understanding as well as two protocols on technical cooperation, the minister said in press statements.

He highlighted the drinking water projects that have been finalized and will be opened shortly in South Sudan.

Moreover, technical and economic feasibility studies on Waw dam project have been finalized, the minister noted.
