CAIRO – 1 August 2018: Pope Tawadros II pope of Alexandria inaugurated Tuesday the third conference of priests of UAE, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar in Wadi Al Natroun.

The first day of the conference began with a speech by Pope Tawadros, followed by Bishop Raphael, Archbishop of Central Cairo, and Bishop John Pauli then Paul George, the priest of the Apostle Marks Church in Heliopolis.

Pope Tawadros also inaugurated several conferences such as the North American Priests Conference on 2017 titled "Challenges Facing the Priest in His Service", and Europe priests’ conference in Italy on 2015.

Tawadros II pointed out during his speech that the priest needs several things such as sincerity, determination and the spirit of a fighter to serve his services to the Christians as a priest on the fullest.

It is worth mentioning that late May, Pope Tawadros denied in a press statement establishing a church in Saudi Arabia upon Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s request, saying “Bin Salaman did not ask me for it at all.”
