General prosecution team to investigate in Cairo-Aswan train derailment

CAIRO - 29 July 2018: General Prosecution Nabil Ahmed Sadeq has given directives to transfer a team of the Aswan prosecution members to the scene of the Cairo-Aswan train derailment to investigate the accident.

In a statement on Sunday, the general prosecutor office said that a team of the prosecution was assigned to investigate the accident which took place when train 982, traveling from Cairo to Aswan, went off track in front of a Kom Ombo village in northern Aswan early Sunday.

The accident left six persons injured.
